# Uluella

***Uluella*** is a [monotypic](/source/Monotypic_taxon) [genus](/source/Genus) of [jumping spiders](/source/Salticidae) containing the single species, ***Uluella formosa***. It was first described by [Arthur M. Chickering](/source/Arthur_M._Chickering) in 1946,[2] and is found in [Panama](/source/Panama) and [Ecuador](/source/Ecuador).[1][3] The spider is an iridescent [ant mimic](/source/Ant_mimicry) about 4 mm in length.[3] It lives in association with [bambusoid grasses](/source/Bamboo) of the [tropical rainforests](/source/Tropical_rainforest) from which it constructs retreats made from rolled leaves.[3]
