Its use in this proverbial fashion is also associated with the 18th-century Scottish [Boswell](/source/Boswell_(surname)) family's country seat at [Auchinleck](/source/Auchinleck). [Alexander Boswell](/source/Alexander_Boswell%2C_Lord_Auchinleck) inscribed a line from Horace on [Auchinleck House](/source/Auchinleck_House)—"what thou seekest is here, it is in Ulubrae, unless equanimity is lacking"—and his son [James Boswell](/source/James_Boswell) referred to himself as the "Master of Ulubrae".
