The **Uber-anatomy ontology (Uberon)** is a [comparative anatomy](/source/Comparative_anatomy) [ontology](/source/Ontology_(information_science)) representing a variety of structures found in [animals](/source/Metazoa), such as [lungs](/source/Lungs), [muscles](/source/Muscles), [bones](/source/Bone), [feathers](/source/Feathers) and [fins](/source/Fish_anatomy#Fins). These structures are connected to other structures via relationships such as [part-of](/source/Part-of) and develops-from.[1] One of the uses of this ontology is to integrate data from different [biological databases](/source/Biological_databases), and other species-specific ontologies such as the [Foundational Model of Anatomy](/source/Foundational_Model_of_Anatomy).[2][3][4]
