The **Ube Kosan Open** was a professional [golf](/source/Golf) tournament that was held in Japan from 1972 until 2001. It was played at the Ube 72 Country Club near [Ube](/source/Ube%2C_Yamaguchi), [Yamaguchi](/source/Yamaguchi_Prefecture). It was an event on the [Japan Golf Tour](/source/Japan_Golf_Tour).

In 1976, the **Pepsi-Wilson Tournament**, as it was then known, set a record for the longest sudden-death playoff in a major men's professional tournament. It took [Peter Thomson](/source/Peter_Thomson_(golfer)) fourteen holes to defeat [Graham Marsh](/source/Graham_Marsh), [Brian Jones](/source/Brian_Jones_(golfer)) and [Shozo Miyamoto](/source/Shozo_Miyamoto).[1] This record still stands[*[when?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Dates_and_numbers#Chronological_items)*].
