The '''USSR Chess Federation''' ({{langx|ru|Шахматная федерация СССР}}, {{Transliteration|ru|Shakhmatnaya fyedyeratsiya SSSR}}) was the national organization for [chess](/source/chess) in the [USSR](/source/USSR). It was founded in 1924 and its headquarters were in [Moscow](/source/Moscow). It was affiliated with the [World Chess Federation](/source/World_Chess_Federation). The USSR Chess Federation organized a [USSR Chess Championship](/source/USSR_Chess_Championship) and published a newspaper called ''[Шахматы в СССР](/source/Shakhmaty_v_SSSR)'' (Chess in the USSR).
