The **UAAP Golf Tournament** is a [golf](/source/Golf) competition among member-schools of the [University Athletic Association of the Philippines](/source/University_Athletic_Association_of_the_Philippines) (UAAP). [Golf](/source/Golf) will be a demonstration sport within the UAAP.

## History

Prior to golf's inclusion in the calendar of the multi-sport collegiate league, [University Athletic Association of the Philippines](/source/University_Athletic_Association_of_the_Philippines) (UAAP), its member schools such as the [University of the Philippines](/source/University_of_the_Philippines), [Ateneo de Manila University](/source/Ateneo_de_Manila_University), [De La Salle University](/source/De_La_Salle_University), and the [University of Santo Tomas](/source/University_of_Santo_Tomas) had already taken part in intercollegiate golf tournaments outside the UAAP system.[2][3]

On the sidelines of the UAAP Invitational Golf Tournament at The Country Club in [Santa Rosa, Laguna](/source/Santa_Rosa%2C_Laguna) on April 20, 2026, held in the middle of [UAAP Season 88](/source/UAAP_Season_88), UAAP and the Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc. (PGTI) signed a three-year contract incorporating golf as a demonstration sport within the UAAP.[2][4]

The inaugural UAAP Golf Tournament was held from May 11 to 14 at the [Tagaytay Midlands](/source/Tagaytay_Highlands) in [Tagaytay](/source/Tagaytay), [Cavite](/source/Cavite) featuring both individual and team events.[5]
