**Tuzhal** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): توژل)[a] is a village in [Melkari-ye Gharbi Rural District](/source/Melkari-ye_Gharbi_Rural_District)[4][b] in [Zab District](/source/Zab_District) of [Mirabad County](/source/Mirabad_County), [West Azerbaijan](/source/West_Azerbaijan_province) province, [Iran](/source/Iran).

## Demographics

### Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 243 in 46 households, when it was in [Melkari Rural District](/source/Melkari-ye_Gharbi_Rural_District)[c] of [Vazineh District](/source/Central_District_(Mirabad_County))[d] in [Sardasht County](/source/Sardasht_County).[6] The following census in 2011 counted 199 people in 39 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 158 people in 33 households.[2]

In 2022, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of [Mirabad County](/source/Mirabad_County) and renamed the [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Mirabad_County)). The rural district was transferred to the new [Zab District](/source/Zab_District) and renamed [Melkari-ye Gharbi Rural District](/source/Melkari-ye_Gharbi_Rural_District).[5]
