The [shell](/source/gastropod_shell) of this species is large, solid, thick and imperforate. The shape of the shell is obtusely conic. The [spire](/source/spire_(mollusc)) is elevated. The [whorls](/source/Whorl_(mollusc)) are flattened, nodulous and carinated. The peristome is thin and continuous.<ref name="Walker 1918">Walker B. (1918).
