Denney competed in [badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics](/source/badminton_at_the_2004_Summer_Olympics) in men's doubles with partner [Ashley Brehaut](/source/Ashley_Brehaut).  They were defeated in the round of 32 by [Pramote Teerawiwatana](/source/Pramote_Teerawiwatana) and [Tesana Panvisvas](/source/Tesana_Panvisvas) of [Thailand](/source/Thailand).
