**Trask Coliseum** is a 5,200-seat multi-purpose [arena](/source/Arena) in [Wilmington, North Carolina](/source/Wilmington%2C_North_Carolina).[1]

## History

The coliseum was opened in 1977 and named after Raiford Graham Trask, a trustee of Wilmington College.[2]

It is home to the [University of North Carolina at Wilmington](/source/University_of_North_Carolina_at_Wilmington) Seahawks [basketball](/source/Basketball) [team](/source/Team), as well as some graduations for New Hanover County high schools.

## Performances

The hard rock group [Cinderella](/source/Cinderella_(band)) performed at the arena on September 1, 1989.
