**Tracy station** is a [commuter rail](/source/Commuter_rail) station in southern [Tracy, California](/source/Tracy%2C_California) served by the [Altamont Corridor Express](/source/Altamont_Corridor_Express). It is on the [Union Pacific Railroad](/source/Union_Pacific_Railroad) [Oakland Subdivision](/source/Oakland_Subdivision), formerly the [Western Pacific Railroad](/source/Western_Pacific_Railroad). Construction of the station began in April 1998,[4] and it was one of ACE's inaugural stops upon commencement of service on October 19 of that year.[5]
