***Tourist Train*** (Italian: ***Treno popolare***) is a 1933 Italian [comedy film](/source/Comedy_film) directed by [Raffaello Matarazzo](/source/Raffaello_Matarazzo) and starring [Marcello Spada](/source/Marcello_Spada), [Lina Gennari](/source/Lina_Gennari) and [Carlo Petrangeli](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Carlo_Petrangeli&action=edit&redlink=1). The film portrays the comic adventures of a group of summertime travellers. It was shot on the [Florence-Rome railway](/source/Florence-Rome_railway) and in [Orvieto](/source/Orvieto). It was one of a number of films made during the 1930s whose [realism](/source/Realism_(arts)) pointed in the direction of the later development of [Italian neorealism](/source/Italian_neorealism).[1]
