Morrell won the bronze medal in the [1500 metres](/source/1500_metres) at the [1990 European Athletics Indoor Championships](/source/1990_European_Athletics_Indoor_Championships). In addition, he represented Great Britain at the [1987 World Championships](/source/1987_World_Championships_in_Athletics) and [1987 World Indoor Championships](/source/1987_IAAF_World_Indoor_Championships).
