**Tony Hoar** (10 February 1932 – 5 October 2019) was a British [racing cyclist](/source/Bicycle_racing).[1][2]

## Biography

Hoar represented the [English team](/source/England_at_the_1954_British_Empire_and_Commonwealth_Games) at the [1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games](/source/1954_British_Empire_and_Commonwealth_Games) held in Vancouver, Canada,[3] where he participated in the [road race](/source/Cycling_at_the_1954_British_Empire_and_Commonwealth_Games).[4][5]

He gained selection for the Tour de France, where he finished in [last place](/source/Lanterne_rouge) in the [1955 Tour de France](/source/1955_Tour_de_France).[6]
