==Beating==
Deogan became the first [Swede](/source/Demographics_of_Sweden) to be killed as a result of [football hooliganism](/source/football_hooliganism). Deogan was a supporter of [IFK Göteborg](/source/IFK_G%C3%B6teborg), who had played AIK at [Råsunda Stadium](/source/R%C3%A5sunda_Stadium) on 29 July 2002.<ref>{{Cite news|url=http://www.metro.se/se/article/2007/03/21/06/5836-23/index.xml |title=Tonys mördare kan aldrig fällas |access-date=4 May 2022 |archive-date=2007-09-30 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20070930185353/http://www.metro.se/se/article/2007/03/21/06/5836-23/index.xml |url-status=live|work=Metro}}</ref>

A couple of days later he died from injuries he sustained during the brutal beating. Even though the police had several suspects the case never went to trial because of the lack of witnesses.
