# Tony Daykin

**Tony Daykin** (born May 3, 1955) is a Taiwanese-born American former player in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL). He played for the [Detroit Lions](/source/Detroit_Lions) and the [Atlanta Falcons](/source/Atlanta_Falcons). He played [collegiately](/source/College_football) for the [Georgia Tech football team](/source/Georgia_Tech_Yellow_Jackets_football). He is currently a math teacher and assistant football coach at [Carlton J. Kell High School](/source/Carlton_J._Kell_High_School) in [Marietta, Georgia](/source/Marietta,_Georgia).[1][2] He is distinguished as being the first person born in [Taiwan](/source/Taiwan) to play in the NFL.
