Born in [Warrington](/source/Warrington), Bullock joined [Northwich Victoria](/source/Northwich_Victoria_F.C.) from local club Winnington Avenue F.C.. In August 1992, he joined [Hyde United](/source/Hyde_United_F.C.) on loan, debuting in the 1-1 [Northern Premier League](/source/Northern_Premier_League) draw at [Goole Town](/source/Goole_A.F.C.) on 22 August 1992<ref>{{cite web

He moved on to join [Leek Town](/source/Leek_Town_F.C.) before signing for [Barnsley](/source/Barnsley_F.C.) in March 1997. He struggled to hold down a regular first team place and left for [Macclesfield Town](/source/Macclesfield_Town_F.C.) in 2000 on a free transfer.

He moved to Scotland to sign for [Ross County](/source/Ross_County_F.C.) in July 2001. A successful spell with County brought him a move to [Dundee United](/source/Dundee_United_F.C.) in 2003, where his final game was the [2005 Scottish Cup final](/source/2005_Scottish_Cup_final) defeat to [Celtic](/source/Celtic_F.C.), before he returned to England with [Gillingham](/source/Gillingham_F.C.). After only five months with Gillingham, Bullock signed for St Mirren in January 2006, but he failed to cement a first-team place and was released in May 2007.
