**Thomas Alexander Lammonby** (born 2 June 2000) is an English [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who plays for [Somerset](/source/Somerset_County_Cricket_Club).[1]

## Early life and education

Lammonby was born on 2 June 2000 in [Exeter](/source/Exeter). His cousin, [Ryan Campbell](/source/Ryan_Campbell), is an Australian former cricketer. Lammonby was educated at [Exeter School](/source/Exeter_School).[2]

## Career

Prior to his T20 debut, Lammonby was named in England's squad for the [2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup](/source/2018_Under-19_Cricket_World_Cup). However, he was ruled out of the tournament after breaking his hand.[3]

On 20 July 2019, he made his [Twenty20](/source/Twenty20) debut in the [2019 T20 Blast](/source/2019_T20_Blast).[4]

Lammonby made his [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) debut on 1 August 2020, for Somerset in the [2020 Bob Willis Trophy](/source/2020_Bob_Willis_Trophy).[5] Lammonby scored his maiden century in his fourth first-class match, against [Gloucestershire](/source/Gloucestershire_County_Cricket_Club) at [Taunton](/source/County_Ground%2C_Taunton).[6] He followed it up with centuries against [Worcestershire](/source/Worcestershire_County_Cricket_Club) and, in the [Bob Willis Trophy](/source/2020_Bob_Willis_Trophy) final, [Essex](/source/Essex_County_Cricket_Club).[7]

In the [2021 T20 Blast](/source/2021_T20_Blast), Lammonby scored a "freewheeling" 90 runs off only 36 balls to help Somerset to a 23-run win over Gloucestershire.[8] In December 2021, Lammonby was picked up by the [Hobart Hurricanes](/source/Hobart_Hurricanes) after playing [grade cricket](/source/Grade_cricket) in [Sydney](/source/Sydney).[9]

In April 2022, he was bought by the [Manchester Originals](/source/Manchester_Originals) for the [2022 season](/source/2022_season_of_The_Hundred) of [The Hundred](/source/The_Hundred_(cricket)).[10]

Lammonby signed a new three-year contract with Somerset in May 2025.[11]
