**Thomas Melvin Jewell** (born 13 January 1991) is an English [cricketer](/source/Cricketer). Jewell is a right-handed [batsman](/source/Batsman_(cricket)) who bowls right-arm [fast-medium](/source/Fast_bowling). He was born at [Reading](/source/Reading,_Berkshire), [Berkshire](/source/Berkshire).

Jewell made his [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) debut for [Surrey](/source/Surrey_County_Cricket_Club) against [Loughborough UCCE](/source/Loughborough_University_Centre_of_Cricketing_Excellence) in 2008. He represented the county in 3 first-class matches in 2010 against [Cambridge University](/source/Cambridge_University_Cricket_Club), the touring [Bangladeshis](/source/Bangladesh_national_cricket_team), as well as making his [County Championship](/source/County_Championship) debut against [Northamptonshire](/source/Northamptonshire_County_Cricket_Club).[1]

His debut in [List-A cricket](/source/List-A_cricket) came against Northamptonshire in the 2009 [Pro40](/source/Pro40) and he went on to play a total of 8 List-A games.[2] He was released by Surrey in 2014.
