# Tom Glancy

**Thomas Glancy** (10 October 1894 – 11 February 1949) was a Scottish professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who made nearly 500 appearances in the [Scottish League](/source/Scottish_League) for [Cowdenbeath](/source/Cowdenbeath_F.C.), [Falkirk](/source/Falkirk_F.C.) and [St Johnstone](/source/St_Johnstone_F.C.).[2][3] In 1923 he was a member of a squad organised by [Third Lanark](/source/Third_Lanark_A.C.) that toured South America.[4][5]

## Personal life

Glancy was the cousin of footballer [Lawrence Glancy](/source/Lawrence_Glancy) and the father of junior footballer Watty Glancy.[2][6]
