# Tom Forrest

**Thomas Wesley Forrest** (born April 11, 1952) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was an [offensive guard](/source/Guard_(gridiron_football)) for one season with the [Chicago Bears](/source/Chicago_Bears) of the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL).[1] He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Cincinnati Bearcats](/source/Cincinnati_Bearcats_football) and was selected by the [San Diego Chargers](/source/San_Diego_Chargers) in the eighth round of the [1974 NFL draft](/source/1974_NFL_draft).[2]

## Professional career

### New York Stars

Forrest was selected in the tenth round of the [1974 World Football League Draft](/source/1974_WFL_Draft) in January by the [New York Stars](/source/Charlotte_Hornets_(WFL)), but didn't play for the team.

### San Diego Chargers

Forrest was selected by the [San Diego Chargers](/source/San_Diego_Chargers) in the eighth round of the [1974 NFL draft](/source/1974_NFL_draft) in April, but he never saw action as a member of the team.

### Chicago Bears

Forrest played in eight games with the [Chicago Bears](/source/Chicago_Bears) during the [1974 season](/source/1974_Chicago_Bears_season).

### Chicago Winds

Forrest played one game with the WFL's [Chicago Winds](/source/Chicago_Winds) in the [1975 season](/source/1975_WFL_season).
