He is a right-handed [batsman](/source/batsman) and slow left arm orthodox [bowler](/source/Bowler_(cricket)). He has played for [Bedfordshire County Cricket Club](/source/Bedfordshire_County_Cricket_Club) since 2008.
Brett made his first-class cricket debut against [Oxford MCCU](/source/Oxford_MCCU) at the start of the 2010 season. He then went on to play a number of [One day](/source/one_day_cricket) games at the end of the season.
