**Timber Ridge** is a [mountain](/source/Mountain) [ridge](/source/Ridge)[1] of the [Ridge-and-valley Appalachians](/source/Ridge-and-valley_Appalachians) straddling the [U.S. states](/source/U.S._states) of [Virginia](/source/Virginia) and [West Virginia](/source/West_Virginia). Timber Ridge extends from the forks of [Sleepy Creek](/source/Sleepy_Creek) at [Stotlers Crossroads](/source/Stotlers_Crossroads%2C_West_Virginia) in [Morgan County](/source/Morgan_County%2C_West_Virginia), West Virginia, to [Lehew](/source/Lehew%2C_West_Virginia) in [Hampshire County](/source/Hampshire_County%2C_West_Virginia), West Virginia. The ridge is predominantly forested, as its name suggests, with the exception of a number of [orchards](/source/Orchard) and open fields. From [WV 127](/source/WV_127)/[VA 127](/source/State_Route_127_(Virginia)) at [Good](/source/Good%2C_West_Virginia) to Lehew, Timber Ridge serves as the boundary line between [Hampshire County](/source/Hampshire_County%2C_West_Virginia), West Virginia, and [Frederick County](/source/Frederick_County%2C_Virginia), Virginia.

## Summits and knobs

Although Timber Ridge is a continuous mountain ridge, it is made up of a number of summits and knobs with individual names. These include:
