**Tim Sahaydak** (born June 1, 1977) is an American [soccer](/source/Association_football) coach and former player. He is currently associate head coach of the [UCF Knights women's soccer](/source/UCF_Knights_women's_soccer) program. As a player, he played several seasons in [Major League Soccer](/source/Major_League_Soccer) (MLS) for [Miami Fusion F.C.](/source/Miami_Fusion_F.C.)

## Playing career

Sahaydak attended [Liberty High School](/source/Liberty_High_School_(Bethlehem%2C_Pennsylvania)) in [Bethlehem, Pennsylvania](/source/Bethlehem%2C_Pennsylvania), where he was an All-State representative. While touring with a state team, he was in Moscow during the [1991 Soviet coup d'état attempt](/source/1991_Soviet_coup_d'%C3%A9tat_attempt).[1][2]

### College career

Sahaydak joined the [North Carolina Tar Heels men's soccer](/source/North_Carolina_Tar_Heels_men's_soccer) program on a scholarship in 1995. He left in 1997 after his sophomore year.[3]

### Professional career

After leaving college Sahaydak was signed as a [Project-40](/source/Generation_Adidas) player, eventually being assigned to the [Columbus Crew](/source/Columbus_Crew). From 1998 to 2000, he played matches for the Project-40 team in the [United Soccer Leagues](/source/United_Soccer_Leagues) (USL) [A-League](/source/A-League_(1995%E2%80%932004)). After two seasons with the Crew, he transferred to the [Miami Fusion](/source/Miami_Fusion). Between 1999 and 2001, Sahaydak played 22 times for the Fusion.[4]

## Coaching career

Sahaydak took to coaching as co-head coach of the [VCU Rams women's soccer](/source/VCU_Rams_women's_soccer) program alongside his wife, former international player [Tiffany Roberts](/source/Tiffany_Roberts). After six years with the Rams, he joined the [UCF Knights women's soccer](/source/UCF_Knights_women's_soccer) program as associate head coach again alongside his wife.[3][5]
