**Tim Fourie** is a [South Africa](/source/South_Africa) former [rugby footballer](/source/Rugby_football) who represented [South Africa](/source/South_Africa_national_rugby_league_team) in [rugby league](/source/Rugby_league) at the [1995 World Cup](/source/1995_Rugby_League_World_Cup).

## Playing career

Fourie played for the [South African Rhinos](/source/South_Africa_national_rugby_league_team) in the [1995 World Cup](/source/1995_Rugby_League_World_Cup), playing in all three matches.[1]

In 1996, he spent the season at the [Dewsbury Rams](/source/Dewsbury_Rams), along with several other South African World Cup players. Despite the hype surrounding their arrival, the imports failed to make a lasting impression at the club.

He participated in the 1997 [Super League World Nines](/source/Super_League_World_Nines) for South Africa.

Between 1998 and 2000, he played [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) for the [Leeds Tykes](/source/Leeds_Tykes).[2]

He later captained [Sedgley Park RUFC](/source/Sedgley_Park_RUFC) and then played for [Rossendale RUFC](/source/Rossendale_RUFC).[citation needed]
