# Til Ezer

**Til Ezer** (Kurdish: تل ئه‌زه‌ر, *Tel Ezêr*,[2][3] Arabic: القحطانية, also known in Arabic as *al-Qaḥṭānīya* or *Qahtaniyah*, also spelled *Giruzer, Kar Izir, Kahtaniya*) is a village located in the [Sinjar District](/source/Sinjar_District) of the [Ninawa Governorate](/source/Nineveh_Governorate) in [Iraq](/source/Iraq). The village is located south of the [Sinjar Mount](/source/Sinjar_Mountains), in the [disputed territories of Northern Iraq](/source/Disputed_territories_of_Northern_Iraq).

Til Ezer is populated by [Yazidis](/source/Yazidi).[1] It was one of two villages targeted in the [2007 Yazidi communities bombings](/source/2007_Yazidi_communities_bombings) against the local [Yazidi](/source/Yazidi) community.[4]
