# Tiit Kuningas

**Tiit Kuningas** (30 October 1949 – 27 November 2023) was an [Estonian](/source/Estonia) sports journalist.[1]

He was born in [Massiaru](/source/Massiaru), [Pärnu County](/source/P%C3%A4rnu_County). He studied at [Tallinn Pedagogical Institute](/source/Tallinn_University). In youth he exercised several sport disciplines, including basketball and volleyball.[1]

As a sport journalist, he has contributed to several newspapers, including *[Spordileht](/source/Spordileht)*, *[Postimees](/source/Postimees)*, and the magazine *[Sporditäht](/source/Spordit%C3%A4ht)*.[1]

He has also been a successful quizzer. He was a member of the quiz team which participated on the [ETV](/source/Eesti_Televisioon) television program *Naapurivisa* in the late 1960s.[1]
