**Tiago Parreira Parente** (born 14 January 2004) is a Portuguese professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [left-back](/source/Left-back) for [Primeira Liga](/source/Primeira_Liga) club [Estoril](/source/G.D._Estoril_Praia) and the [Portugal national under-21 team](/source/Portugal_national_under-21_football_team).

## Club career

Born in [Sintra](/source/Sintra) in the [Lisbon District](/source/Lisbon_District), Parente played as a youth for [Casa Pia A.C.](/source/Casa_Pia_A.C.) and [C.F. Os Belenenses](/source/C.F._Os_Belenenses), both in the [capital city](/source/Lisbon), before joining [G.D. Estoril Praia](/source/G.D._Estoril_Praia) in 2017. On 25 July 2022, having already represented Estoril's under-23 team at age 18, he was loaned for two years to [Sporting CP](/source/Sporting_CP) and their under-19 team.[1]

On 17 May 2025, Parente made his professional debut on the last day of the [Primeira Liga](/source/Primeira_Liga) [season](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_Primeira_Liga), playing the last 18 minutes as a substitute in a 4–0 home win over [C.F. Estrela da Amadora](/source/C.F._Estrela_da_Amadora). He had spent the campaign in the under-23 team, scoring once and [assisting](/source/Assist_(association_football)) twice in 20 games, while training with the first team under manager [Ian Cathro](/source/Ian_Cathro).[2][3]

Parente signed a new contract on 10 July 2025, linking him to the *Canarinho* until 2029.[3] On 11 August, the [new season](/source/2025%E2%80%9326_Primeira_Liga) began with Estrela again the visitors to the [Estádio António Coimbra da Mota](/source/Est%C3%A1dio_Ant%C3%B3nio_Coimbra_da_Mota); Parente played the full game and scored the first goal of a 1–1 draw, assisted by right-back [Pedro Carvalho](/source/Pedro_Carvalho_(footballer)).[4]

## International career

Parente was part of the [Portugal under-18 team](/source/Portugal_national_under-18_football_team) that competed at the [2022 Mediterranean Games](/source/2022_Mediterranean_Games) in [Oran](/source/Oran), Algeria.[5] After playing three times for the [under-20 team](/source/Portugal_national_under-20_football_team) in late 2023, he had his first call-up to the [under-21 team](/source/Portugal_national_under-21_football_team) in August 2025, in new manager [Luís Freire](/source/Lu%C3%ADs_Freire)'s first squad.[6] He made his debut on 5 September by playing the entirety of a 5–0 home win over [Azerbaijan](/source/Azerbaijan_national_under-21_football_team) in [Barcelos](/source/Barcelos%2C_Portugal) in [2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification](/source/2027_UEFA_European_Under-21_Championship_qualification);[7] on 10 October he scored his first goal for the team in another qualifier, a 3–0 win over [Bulgaria](/source/Bulgaria_national_under-21_football_team) in [Portimão](/source/Portim%C3%A3o).[8]
