The story follows the life of a married couple following the [premature birth](/source/premature_birth) of their son.

The film was produced by [Stewart Mackinnon](/source/Stewart_Mackinnon) ([Headline Pictures](/source/Headline_Pictures)), directed by [Sarah Gavron](/source/Sarah_Gavron) and written by Rosemary Kay who was awarded the [Dennis Potter Award](/source/Dennis_Potter_Award) for the script and a [BAFTA](/source/British_Academy_of_Film_and_Television_Arts) for Best New Writer for the film. Shown to critical acclaim at International Festivals, the film was awarded the Jury Prize for Best Debut Feature at the [Toronto International Film Festival](/source/Toronto_International_Film_Festival), won Best Film at the Banff TV awards, in Canada, and was awarded a special Prix Europa.
