# This Is This!

***This Is This!*** is the fourteenth and final studio album by [Weather Report](/source/Weather_Report), released in August 1986. The band thought that it had fulfilled its contract with [Columbia Records](/source/Columbia_Records) through the release of the previous album, *[Sportin' Life](/source/Sportin'_Life_(Weather_Report_album))*. This, however, was not the case, and the band had to release one more record.[1] It was their only album to feature no compositions by saxophonist [Wayne Shorter](/source/Wayne_Shorter).
