'''Theodore Bolivar Perry''' (April 1, 1833 – May 14, 1921) was an American lawyer and politician who served in the [Iowa State Senate](/source/Iowa_State_Senate) and as prosecuting attorney of [Monroe County, Iowa](/source/Monroe_County%2C_Iowa).

Perry was born in [Cincinnati, Ohio](/source/Cincinnati) and, as an adolescent, moved with his family to [Iowa](/source/Iowa).<ref name="il">{{cite web|title=Senator Theodore Bolivar Perry|url=https://www.legis.iowa.gov/legislators/legislator?ga=24&personID=3894|website=The Iowa Legislature|publisher=[State of Iowa](/source/State_of_Iowa)|access-date=August 6, 2017}}</ref> In early adulthood, he was a schoolteacher and, in 1852 began [reading law](/source/reading_law) in [Albia, Iowa](/source/Albia%2C_Iowa).<ref name="il"/>

In 1854 Perry was admitted to the Iowa Bar and went into practice with [John S.
