It was shot at the [Rosenhügel Studios](/source/Rosenh%C3%BCgel_Studios) in Vienna and [on location](/source/Location_shooting) in [Heidelberg](/source/Heidelberg). The film's sets were designed by the [art director](/source/Art_director) [Leo Metzenbauer](/source/Leo_Metzenbauer). It was produced with the backing of the major German distributor [Constantin Film](/source/Constantin_Film).

## Synopsis

Lilian, the daughter of a Danish newspaper [magnate](/source/Business_magnate) and aspiring singer, returns home from boarding school in Switzerland. Frustrated by her father's refusal to let her pursue a musical career, she flees in her aunt's car to Germany, ending up in [Heidelberg](/source/Heidelberg) where she meets Martin, a student.
