# The Welsh Connection

***The Welsh Connection*** (stylized on the [cover](/source/Album_cover) as ***Welsh-Connection***) is the eleventh album by the Welsh rock band [Man](/source/Man_(band)) and was released on the [MCA Records](/source/MCA_Records) label 1976.[1] It was their first MCA release, and the first after a change of line-up that saw [John McKenzie](/source/John_McKenzie_(musician)) take over on bass from Martin Ace, and [Phil Ryan](/source/Phil_Ryan_(musician)) rejoin. Ryan had worked with [Pete Brown](/source/Pete_Brown) in the interim, and arranged for Brown to play on two tracks.

The track "Something is Happening" was sampled on "[Break the Bank](/source/Break_the_Bank_(song))" a 2014 single by rapper [Schoolboy Q](/source/Schoolboy_Q).[2]
