# The Second in Command

***The Second in Command*** is a 1915 American silent [drama film](/source/Drama_film) directed by [William J. Bowman](/source/William_J._Bowman) and starring [Francis X. Bushman](/source/Francis_X._Bushman) and [Marguerite Snow](/source/Marguerite_Snow). The film is based on a 1901 Broadway play of the same name[1] by [Robert Marshall](/source/Robert_Marshall_(dramatist)).[2][3]
