It was a [co-production](/source/International_co-production) between Austria, Germany and Hungary.[1] It was shot at the [Hunnia Studios](/source/Hunnia_Studios) in [Budapest](/source/Budapest). The film's sets were designed by the [art director](/source/Art_director) [Márton Vincze](/source/M%C3%A1rton_Vincze). A separate Hungarian-language version, *Rákóczi induló*, was made.
