***The Name Chapter: Freefall*** is the fifth overall studio album by South Korean boy band [Tomorrow X Together](/source/Tomorrow_X_Together). It was released through [Big Hit Music](/source/Big_Hit_Music) and [Republic Records](/source/Republic_Records) on October 13, 2023.

## Background

The album follows their 2023 extended play, *[The Name Chapter: Temptation](/source/The_Name_Chapter:_Temptation)*, and was announced on August 29, 2023.[1]

## Description

The album contains a sole guest appearance from American [pop rock](/source/Pop_rock) band [Jonas Brothers](/source/Jonas_Brothers). It was supported by two singles: "[Do It Like That](/source/Do_It_Like_That_(Tomorrow_X_Together_and_Jonas_Brothers_song))", a collaboration with the Jonas Brothers, and "Chasing That Feeling". The song "[Back for More](/source/Back_for_More_(Tomorrow_X_Together_and_Anitta_Song))" was also released before the album in a version that is a collaboration with Brazilian singer [Anitta](/source/Anitta_(singer)), but a solo version by the band is included on the album.[2]

## Commercial performance

The album debuted at number one on the South Korean [Circle Album Chart](/source/Circle_Album_Chart), Japanese [Oricon Albums Chart](/source/Oricon_Albums_Chart), and *[Billboard Japan](/source/Billboard_Japan)* Hot Albums chart. It sold over 2.4 million copies in its first week of release in South Korea, with an additional 215,000 copies sold of its Weverse version.[3] It sold 225,000 copies in its first week in Japan.[4]

According to the [International Federation of the Phonographic Industry](/source/International_Federation_of_the_Phonographic_Industry) (IFPI)'s Global Music Report for 2023, *The Name Chapter: Freefall* was the thirteenth best-selling album worldwide, having sold 2 million units.[A][5]
