***The Merry Widower*** ([German](/source/German_language): ***Der lustige Witwer***) is a 1929 German [comedy film](/source/Comedy_film) directed by [Robert Land](/source/Robert_Land) and starring [Harry Liedtke](/source/Harry_Liedtke), [La Jana](/source/La_Jana_(actress)), [Alice Roberts](/source/Alice_Roberts_(actress)).[1] The film's sets were designed by [Robert Neppach](/source/Robert_Neppach).

It is not to be confused with the 1908 show at the [Pekin Theatre](/source/Pekin_Theatre) in Chicago starring Lottie Grady and Jerry Mills.
