Unlike many other [local government political parties in Australia](/source/List_of_local_government_political_parties_in_Australia), the party competes in elections for several different councils.

==History==
The party was formed ahead of the [2017 New South Wales local elections](/source/2017_New_South_Wales_local_elections). Two councillors who were formerly members of the [Liberal Party](/source/New_South_Wales_Liberal_Party) − John Hugh ([Parramatta](/source/City_of_Parramatta)) and Nasr Kafrouni ([Cumberland](/source/Cumberland_City_Council)) − joined the party.<ref>{{cite web |title=Cumberland council election, 2017 |date=12 May 2017 |url=https://www.tallyroom.com.au/archive/nswcouncil2017/cumberland2017 |publisher=The Tally Room}}</ref>
