***The LP*** is the debut solo album of American [emcee](/source/Master_of_ceremonies) and producer [Large Professor](/source/Large_Professor). It was released officially in 2009, after being shelved in 1996 by [Geffen Records](/source/Geffen_Records) after several delays. "[The Mad Scientist](/source/The_Mad_Scientist_(song))" and "[I Juswannachill](/source/I_Juswannachill)" were released as singles prior to the anticipated release, and a [bootleg](/source/Counterfeit) was circulated.[1] In 2002, Large Professor regained the rights to the recordings and released the album as a promo-only CD.[citation needed]
