'''The Indians''' are an uninhabited small [archipelago](/source/archipelago) of [islet](/source/islet)s in the [British Virgin Islands](/source/British_Virgin_Islands) in the [Caribbean](/source/Caribbean). They are west of the small British [Pelican Island](/source/Pelican_Island_(British_Virgin_Islands)) and east of the small U.S. [Flanagan Island](/source/Flanagan_Island).

They are located south of larger British [Tortola Island](/source/Tortola) and east of the large US [Saint John Island](/source/Saint_John%2C_U.S._Virgin_Islands).

They were so named because from a distance they were thought to resemble a [Native American's head dress](/source/Bustle_(regalia)).

The waters around the Indians contain much marine life,<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.smithsonianmag.com/travel/british-virgin-islands-landmarks-and-points-of-interest-19266371/|title=British Virgin Islands - Landmarks and Points of Interest|work=Smithsonian.com|date=6 November 2007|accessdate=8 January 2019}}</ref> and are also the second most popular [dive site](/source/scuba_diving) in the British Virgin Islands after the wreck of the ''[RMS Rhone](/source/RMS_Rhone)''. The shallower areas of the Indians are also a popular [snorkelling](/source/snorkelling) site and the area has several mooring balls for day use.
