# The Fall (EP)

***The Fall*** is the third extended play by Canadian [country](/source/Country_music) music artist [Dallas Smith](/source/Dallas_Smith). It was released in Canada on March 15, 2019 via [604 Records](/source/604_Records)[1][2] and [Fontana North](/source/Fontana_North). The EP was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2019 [CCMA](/source/Canadian_Country_Music_Association) Awards[3] as well as Country Album of the Year at the [2020 Juno Awards](/source/Juno_Awards_of_2020).[4]

All four singles released from the project reached number one on *Billboard'*s [Canada Country](/source/Canada_Country) chart: extending Smith's record-holding number of number one hits on the chart among Canadian artists all-time to nine.

## Content

The EP was noted to have more of a [country pop](/source/Country_pop) approach than Smith's previous music.[5][6] Fellow country singers [Tyler Hubbard](/source/Tyler_Hubbard) and [Brian Kelley](/source/Brian_Kelley_(musician)) of [Florida Georgia Line](/source/Florida_Georgia_Line), [Morgan Wallen](/source/Morgan_Wallen), [Hardy](/source/Hardy_(singer)), [Steven Lee Olsen](/source/Steven_Lee_Olsen), [Randy Houser](/source/Randy_Houser) and [Brett Eldredge](/source/Brett_Eldredge) were among the songwriters. "[Make 'Em Like You](/source/Make_'Em_Like_You)"[7] and "Rhinestone World"[8][9] were previously released as singles and became Smith's sixth and seventh [Canadian country](/source/Canada_Country) number ones.[10] "Friends Don't Let Friends Drink Alone" featured fellow Canadian country singers [Dean Brody](/source/Dean_Brody) and [MacKenzie Porter](/source/MacKenzie_Porter). The trio performed the song together on the similarly named "Friends Don't Let Friends Tour Alone Tour" which Smith and Brody co-headlined in late 2019.[11]
