# The Doublets

**The Doublets** ([66°25′S 98°40′E](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=66_25_S_98_40_E)) are rock outcrops located centrally on the western side of [David Island](/source/David_Island). The feature was discovered and named by the [Western Base party](/source/Western_Base_party) of the [Australasian Antarctic Expedition](/source/Australasian_Antarctic_Expedition) (1911–14) under [Douglas Mawson](/source/Douglas_Mawson).[1]
