***The Dancer Barberina*** (German: ***Die Tänzerin Barberina***) is a 1920 German [silent](/source/Silent_film) [historical drama](/source/Historical_drama) film directed by [Carl Boese](/source/Carl_Boese) and starring [Lyda Salmonova](/source/Lyda_Salmonova), [Otto Gebühr](/source/Otto_Geb%C3%BChr), and [Harry Liedtke](/source/Harry_Liedtke).[1] Part of the group of [Prussian films](/source/Prussian_film) of the [Weimar](/source/Weimar_Republic) and [Nazi eras](/source/Nazi_Germany), it portrays the relationship between [Frederick the Great](/source/Frederick_the_Great) and the dancer [Barberina Campanini](/source/Barberina_Campanini) in eighteenth century [Prussia](/source/Kingdom_of_Prussia). Gebühr starred as Frederick in another film on the subject, *[The Dancer of Sanssouci](/source/The_Dancer_of_Sanssouci)* (1932).
