***Thanks for Knocking Me Down*** (Hungarian: ***Köszönöm, hogy elgázolt***) is a 1935 Hungarian [romantic comedy film](/source/Romantic_comedy_film) directed by [Emil Martonffy](/source/Emil_Martonffy) and starring [Ida Turay](/source/Ida_Turay), [Pál Jávor](/source/P%C3%A1l_J%C3%A1vor_(actor)) and [Antal Páger](/source/Antal_P%C3%A1ger_(actor)).[1][2] It was shot at the [Hunnia Studios](/source/Hunnia_Studios) in [Budapest](/source/Budapest). The film's sets were designed by the [art director](/source/Art_director) [Márton Vincze](/source/M%C3%A1rton_Vincze).

## Synopsis

When Sándor Balázs goes for a drive in the countryside, his car is taken by out-of-work singer Peter who then proceeds to knock down Panni who is bored with life in the village and yearns for something exciting to happen. This launches her on a fulfilling adventure involving romance and mistaken identity and concludes with her moving to [Budapest](/source/Budapest).
