## History

The constituency was created in 1984 when the former Dinajpur District was split into three districts: [Panchagarh](/source/Panchagarh_District), [Thakurgaon](/source/Thakurgaon_District), and [Dinajpur](/source/Dinajpur_District%2C_Bangladesh).[3]
