**Teuchern** (German pronunciation: [\[ˈtɔʏçɐn\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Standard_German) [ⓘ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:De-Teuchern.ogg)) is a town in the [Burgenlandkreis](/source/Burgenlandkreis) district, in [Saxony-Anhalt](/source/Saxony-Anhalt), [Germany](/source/Germany). It is situated approximately 10 km southeast of [Weißenfels](/source/Wei%C3%9Fenfels). On 1 January 2011 it absorbed the former municipalities [Deuben](/source/Deuben), [Gröben](/source/Gr%C3%B6ben), [Gröbitz](/source/Gr%C3%B6bitz), [Krauschwitz](/source/Krauschwitz%2C_Saxony-Anhalt), [Nessa](/source/Nessa%2C_Saxony-Anhalt), [Prittitz](/source/Prittitz) and [Trebnitz](/source/Trebnitz).[3] These 7 former municipalities and Teuchern proper are now *Ortschaften* or municipal divisions of the town Teuchern.[4]
