# Tespe

**Tespe** is a municipality in the district of [Harburg](/source/Harburg_(district)), in [Lower Saxony](/source/Lower_Saxony), [Germany](/source/Germany). Situated on the left bank of the river [Elbe](/source/Elbe), it abuts on the [district of Lüneburg](/source/L%C3%BCneburg_(district)) at the south and the west. Tespe is 5 km southeast of [Geesthacht](/source/Geesthacht) and about 30 kilometres southeast of [Hamburg](/source/Hamburg).

The municipalities Tespe, [Marschacht](/source/Marschacht) and [Drage](/source/Drage,_Lower_Saxony) together form the *Samtgemeinde* [Elbmarsch](/source/Elbmarsch). On the opposite bank of the Elbe is the [Krümmel Nuclear Power Plant](/source/Kr%C3%BCmmel_Nuclear_Power_Plant).
