# Terry Nylander

**Terry A. Nylander** (born 1 January 1946) is a former [Progressive Conservative party](/source/Progressive_Conservative_Party_of_Canada) member of the [House of Commons of Canada](/source/House_of_Commons_of_Canada). Born in [North Battleford, Saskatchewan](/source/North_Battleford,_Saskatchewan), he was a farmer by career.

Nylander represented Saskatchewan's [The Battlefords—Meadow Lake](/source/The_Battlefords%E2%80%94Meadow_Lake) electoral district which he won in the [1979 federal election](/source/1979_Canadian_federal_election). After serving his only term, the [31st Canadian Parliament](/source/31st_Canadian_Parliament), he was defeated in the [1980 federal election](/source/1980_Canadian_federal_election) by [Douglas Anguish](/source/Douglas_Anguish) of the [New Democratic Party](/source/New_Democratic_Party_(Canada)).
