**Terence Gregg** (born 23 November 1950) is a British and Irish former [field hockey](/source/Field_hockey) player. He competed in the [men's tournament](/source/Field_hockey_at_the_1972_Summer_Olympics) at the [1972 Summer Olympics](/source/1972_Summer_Olympics).[1]

## Biography

Gregg was educated at [Royal Belfast Academical Institution](/source/Royal_Belfast_Academical_Institution)[2] and studied at [Queen's University Belfast](/source/Queen's_University_Belfast).

He played club hockey for [Instonians](/source/Instonians) in the Irish leagues and Ulster at regional level.[3] He won his first Irish cap against Wales on 14 March 1970 and particiated in the [1970 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship](/source/1970_Men's_EuroHockey_Nations_Championship).[4]

Gregg was part of the bronze medal winning Great Britain team that competed at the ianugural [1978 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy](/source/1978_Men's_Hockey_Champions_Trophy), in [Lahore](/source/Lahore), Pakistan.[5]

He was selected for the [Great Britain](/source/Great_Britain_at_the_1980_Summer_Olympics) team for the [1980 Olympic Games](/source/1980_Summer_Olympics) in Moscow, but subsequently did not attend due to the [boycott](/source/1980_Summer_Olympics_boycott).[6]
