# Terry Dubrow

**Terry J. Dubrow** (born September 14, 1958)[2] is an American [plastic surgeon](/source/Plastic_surgeon) and [television personality](/source/Television_personality). He is known for his work on *[The Swan](/source/The_Swan_(TV_series))* and for co-hosting *[Botched](/source/Botched_(TV_series))* and its [spin-off](/source/Spin-off_(media)) series *[Botched by Nature](/source/Botched_by_Nature)* with [Paul Nassif](/source/Paul_Nassif).[3][4][5] He also appears on *[The Real Housewives of Orange County](/source/The_Real_Housewives_of_Orange_County)* with his wife, [Heather](/source/Heather_Dubrow). In 2015, Dubrow appeared on *[Good Work](/source/Good_Work_(TV_series))*, a plastic surgery-themed [talk show](/source/Talk_show), together with co-hosts [RuPaul](/source/RuPaul) and Sandra Vergara.[6] Dubrow also performed the plastic surgery procedures on *[Bridalplasty](/source/Bridalplasty)*, a reality series which premiered in 2011 and featured a group of women who competed in order to win a wedding and transformative plastic surgery procedure.[7]

## Personal life

Terry Dubrow was born to Laura and Alvin Dubrow. His family is of [Ashkenazi Jewish](/source/Ashkenazi_Jewish) heritage. He was raised in Los Angeles with his older brother [Kevin](/source/Kevin_DuBrow), who was the lead singer for the popular metal band [Quiet Riot](/source/Quiet_Riot) for the majority of that band's existence, until his death in 2007.[8][9] He married actress and *[The Real Housewives of Orange County](/source/The_Real_Housewives_of_Orange_County)* star [Heather Dubrow](/source/Heather_Dubrow) (née Kent) in 1999.[10] They have four children.[8]

Dubrow received his medical degree from the [University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine](/source/David_Geffen_School_of_Medicine_at_UCLA) and also holds a master's degree from [Yale University](/source/Yale_University). He went on to complete a residency in general surgery and was chief resident at [Harbor-UCLA Medical Center](/source/Harbor-UCLA_Medical_Center) and he completed his fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the [UCLA Medical Center](/source/UCLA_Medical_Center). Dubrow is board certified by the [American Board of Plastic Surgery](/source/American_Board_of_Plastic_Surgery), and a Fellow of the [American College of Surgeons](/source/American_College_of_Surgeons).[11]

Dubrow and his wife promote a [fad diet](/source/Fad_diet) known as the "Dubrow Diet," based on a form of [intermittent fasting](/source/Intermittent_fasting).[12] He also has a constant presence on the shopping network [ShopHQ](/source/ShopHQ), usually selling health products.

In December 2025 he won the "TV Doctor" episode of Celebrity [Weakest Link.](/source/Weakest_Link_(American_game_show)) [13]
